A little over a week ago we officially turned 4! Wild to even write that.

Episode 182 just went live and as you’re reading this we’re packing our bags for Hong Kong to podcast with Ali Abdaal. The kid version of me would lose his mind if he knew this is what we’d get to do for a living...

Let's reflect on some of the guests that have helped us build this awesome community. I'm curious too what have been your favorite eps that we've done? let us know in the comments on YouTube it would mean a lot!

We'll be breaking down wisdom from Seth Godin, Gary Vee, Chris Do, Daniel Priestley, Oren John, Erica Mallet, & Sabri Suby.

Before we dive in if you’re creating content for your brand you need fire music. Artlist is running their biggest sale of the year right now. 20% off annual plans + two months free & 40% off their AI products.

They never run this type of sale so do not miss it. You can find the sale here!

Here are a few notes from the guests who changed how we think about content and business. These didn’t make it into the episode we posted but they stuck with us.

Seth Godin

Most creators hit publish and hope. They record whatever they feel like, toss it online, cross their fingers, and refresh their analytics all day. But Seth said the creators who actually break through don’t work like that. They don’t chase loud. They don’t chase viral. They build with intention long before they hit record.

He said it like this:

If someone watched your video and then walked into another room… would they bring you up? Would they tell someone what you said, what you taught, or how you made them feel?

That’s the real test.

Not authenticity for authenticity’s sake.

Not aesthetic for aesthetic’s sake.

Not “posting daily” because some guru said so.

But making something that carries enough weight that it lives beyond the moment, outside the algorithm, in actual conversations between real people.

Gary Vaynerchuk

Gary said the biggest reason people fail online is because they create for the algorithm instead of creating for the person on the other side of the screen. The moment you start solving someone’s actual problem your content has purpose.

Without purpose you’re just posting to post.

Chris Do

Chris broke down that your personal brand isn’t what you say. It’s the promise people believe you’ll keep. If your content helps someone once they’ll watch again. If it helps them twice they follow.

If it helps them ten times they might think about buying. He is filled with gems (one I would highly recommend you re-listen to)

We talk a lot about consistency on this show but the truth is what keeps us going is these amazing conversations. Getting to sit with the people we admire and ask whatever we want is a gift. Getting to share it with you is the part that makes it truly meaningful. And you and I both know we're just getting started!!

We’ll be posting daily content from Hong Kong so keep an eye on our Instagrams to see everything we get up to out there!

Talk soon,

Bfiggy & Kostas
